Award-winning creative director and principal of Base A Design, Alexis Sullivan has over 15 years of experience with corporate identity, packaging, print collateral, direct mail, and interactive communications, with a special emphasis on conceptual design, brand strategy, communication goals, and project management. Alexis has designed for a variety of businesses, in the areas of technology, telecommunications, beverages, retail, real estate, mass media and the airline industry. Her work has been published in How Magazine, Graphis Magazine, Print Magazine and Studio Magazine. Besides her main design firm, Base A Design, Alexis has a stationery and accessories line under the brand Lexie Sullivan. Lexie Sullivan products feature a modern design approach and have been sold nationwide through retail stores and online. An advocate for Atlanta's local graphic design industry, Alexis has served on the board of directors of the Atlanta chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) and has been involved with the organization for several years.

Besides being an Art Director, I am an artist and writer. A dreamer. A doer. A list maker. A note taker. A doodler. A brainstormer. A barnburner. Along with graphic arts and copy writing, I draw, paint, print-make, photograph and collage. I have a strong sense of color, composition and grid, yet I also know when to break the grid. I am a graphic designer living and working in the metro Atlanta area. Currently, I am employed at an in-house print and marketing company called Piedmont Graphics. I am responsible for creating strategic and persuasive visual communication solutions for both internal and external clientele. This client list includes; ADP, Atlanta Medical Center, Northside Hospital, T-Mobile, and Trinity School. Working for an in-house print company has allowed me the opportunity to expand my knowledge beyond design and into print production and prepress. My background is in Communication Arts with an emphasis in graphic design, color theory, painting, and illustration. I regularly design using Adobe CS4, primarily InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
