Since announcing its merger in March, BarkleyOKRP has been on a roll. This week the agency announced that was named agency of record for VISIT FLORIDA following a review. The win follows the recent announcement of BarkleyOKRPs win of Hormel Foods’ Applegate brand. The wins signal support for the agency’s ‘Big Indie’ offering, filling a void in the advertising agency landscape for a large independent that can meet clients needs across channels with scale.

For VISIT FLORIDA, the agency is being charged with building a new brand platform and advertising and marketing approach to support growth in visitors to the state. New work is expected to roll out at the end of the year.

“The BarkleyOKRP team blew us away with their strategic and creative talent,” said Dana Young, CEO of VISIT FLORIDA. We really valued the integrated team and approach they brought to the pitch and are very much looking forward to continuing to build the VISIT FLORIDA brand and drive visitors to our state with them as our partners.”

As Florida Tourism’s lead agency, BarkleyOKRP will develop go-to-market branding and marketing solutions and will work with the organization’s existing marketing partners to connect with consumers across all media channels. VISIT FLORIDA leverages a wide array of media in its advertising encompassing traditional television, online video as well as social and digital marketing channels.

“Right out of the gate, the VISIT FLORIDA team gave us a sharp brief, which launched incredible ideas that we couldn’t wait to present. When we heard they loved the work too, we knew we were in for an amazing partnership,” said Katy Hornaday, Chief Creative Officer at BarkleyOKRP. “ With a brand like VISIT FLORIDA, there’s a full ecosystem of TV, social, actions, partnerships and more that we can’t wait to leverage to drive more love for the state.”

BarkleyOKRP started working together on the pitch early this year, well before the agencies Barkley and OKRP announced their merger. An integrated team will work on the VISIT FLORIDA account and will be supported by its satellite office in Orlando.
